Yesterday we headed to Hamilton Gardens to complete a Baby Portrait shoot for Sarah and her 7 month old James.
I just had to Blog this image, everything was perfect about the shot. We captured 227 images in 50 minutes, Sarah was “absolutely wrapped” with what we achieved.

On Saturday I photographed Suzanne and Luke’s wedding at Willow Glen.
The day began with the morning preparations with the girls. Some of our regular Blog watchers will recognise Suzanne’s sister Tracy that is the wedding co-ordinator at Willow Glen. The girls were all running on time and very smoothly. Then…it was off to the the boys and there it was all on time but far from smooth, no one could tie a tie – eek! After I dressed them all I headed back to the girls and then onto Willow Glen for the wedding ceremony.
We headed off site for all our bridal party images, stopping via Ngaruawahia and then through some back roads back to Gordonton.
I stayed up to first dance again, thank you for dinner guys and have a great honeymoon.

I was just going through my archives looking for some winter wedding photography images. I forgot that we have completed a fair bit of winter weddings since 2006. Some of the images below were shot at Mt Ruaphu, Turoa Ski Fields and in the town of Ohakune. We have had some quite daring bride and grooms, the images speak for themselves.

On Tuesday this week Sheta, Matt and Lincoln popped by our office again to have the final stages of her pregnancy photographed, Sheta has 2 weeks to go!

Just one very quick image from a portrait shoot I did in Auckland today of Ben, a 2 1/2 year old that was absolutely intrigued every time I said “can you see me in the camera”, wonderful! I will Blog more once I have finished the edit off.

I’ve been all over Auckland today, but I had to Blog this image of a Trade Mark Lawyer Carrick Robinson who is a Partner at James & Wells in Auckland. It was an idea that came from their marketing department that is creative and the image speaks for itself. Carrick and I did have a laugh given that we had 9 letters and only 8 fingers to write on, hence the E on the thumb, still works tho!

Last Saturday I photographed Anna and Mark’s wedding at the St Andrews Presbyterian Church, Hamilton.
They chose to have some of their bridal party images before their wedding and they chose the Italian Garden at Hamilton Gardens for the moment they saw each other for the first time. After their wedding, they put on a tea party and then onwards to Vilagrad for their reception dinner.
Safe trip home to the UK guys and here are a few of our fav’s.

It’s a tad difficult to take wedding presents back to the UK, so they asked for a furniture fund and what a nice surprise, plus a piece of solid gold that they can trade in when they get home.

Last Thursday I headed to Tauranga to photograph Rachel and Gary’s wedding at Mills Reef Winery. I was originally going to Fiji to photograph their wedding but due to many of their friends and family being unable to get to Fiji, Tauranga was then selected as their wedding destination.
Rachel and Gary have a great sense of humor and so did their bridal party. They chose to have their bridal party images before their ceremony and we created the moment when they first saw each other by using a corner of a building, it was a great idea.

This was the first time Rachel’s Mum and Dad saw her when she arrived at Mills Reef Winery and she stepped out of the Limo. Her Mum was beside herself, awww.

Trashing the Dress is not for everyone, but what a great idea to wear your dress for a second time and do something you would never do on your wedding day.
Kirsty asked us a week after their wedding in February this year if we could do a ‘trash the dress’, so we jumped at the chance as there was an idea I had wanted to do for a while now, but we had no wedding takers. So…I lent Michael my prize Hugo Boss suit and the rest is as it happened, enjoy.
Its not something we do regularly, but we do these at no additional cost to our couples. And…remember, they get every photo we captured, some 240+, and all the edited images, all for free!

On Saturday I photographed Melissa and Chris’ wedding at Willow Glen.
What a beautiful April day for a wedding and I could not believe how wonderful Melissa looked, particularly being that she only has 9 weeks to go with the birth of their second child. I had a great time in the morning with the guys and similarly with the girls during their final preparations.
Melissa and Chris wanted a wedding photo journalist to capture their wedding, a photographer that could be unobtrusive and capture the moments, I was happy to oblige.
