Auckland Wedding Photos – Dot & Tuhi

Wednesday, April 6th, 2011

On Saturday I headed North to Auckland to photograph Dorothy & Tuhi’s wedding. April 2nd was also Dorothy’s birthday, how fantastic is that being married on your birthday. Their day was all about family and friends. I have never seen so many people getting ready at the house with Dorothy it was fabulous.

I feel I made some good friends on Saturday, enjoy these few images. Steve

Auckland Wedding Photos – Yvette & William

Tuesday, March 29th, 2011

A couple of Friday’s ago my twin brother Pete from one2one Canada and I shot Yvette and William’s wedding in Auckland. Every aspect of their wedding was perfect and completely organised. They had a great bridal party and we spent some time at The Museum, a popular Auckland spot for many couples.

Its been a while since Pete and I have shot a wedding together but to have someone that can hit the button to capture moments the same as I can was an absolute benefit for Yvette and William. Thank you to Pete for his professional expertise.

Enjoy these images, Steve

Kumeu Valley Estate Wedding Photos – Rosie & Luke

Tuesday, March 8th, 2011

A couple of weeks ago Arie and I headed North to the big city they call Auckland. We had the greatest of time photographing the wedding of Rosie and Luke at the Sacred Heart College Chapel in Glendowie and then their reception at Kumeu Valley Estate.

I loved Rosie and Luke’s laughter and energy in their images, a true privilege to photograph and captured exactly how they are, thank you.

Kumeu Wedding Photos – Kylie, Greg & Liam

Friday, December 10th, 2010

Well…..last Sunday I went on a baby portrait shoot for Liam and we tacked on a wedding for his Mum & Dad, Kylie & Greg. Liam stole the show virtually all day long, quite to the glee for everyone at the wedding at the fantastic Kumeu Valley Estate.

Kylie was one of the most relaxed brides I have had in a very long while. She did however manage to stun Greg when he first laid eye’s on his bride. Thank you for allowing one2one to photograph this very special day for you all. Four of the best wedding speeches I have heard in a while too, congrats!

Here are a few of my favs, Steve.

Auckland Wedding Photography – Kelly & Shaun

Wednesday, October 13th, 2010

On Saturday I headed to Auckland to photograph Kelly and Shaun’s wedding at Cassels. We hoped for a dry day and we got a wonderful sunny day but with plenty of Southerly winds so it was a bit cold for the girls down at Bethells beach where we did the bridal party shots. Thank you to all especially Kelly and Shaun for being so perfect as a couple and remaining true to who you are. Here are a few of my favourites.

Auckland Wedding Photography – Roschelle & Lee

Monday, September 6th, 2010

Roschelle & Lee’s wedding was stunning in every way on Saturday. Some wonderful moments, especially with Roschelle’s Dad when he saw her for the first time. Many friends and family made their way from the UK and OZ, they even had a live Skype web cam for the ceremony to be shown in the UK.

Enjoy a few of my favs.

Gracehill Winery Wedding – Robynne & Greg

Wednesday, May 19th, 2010

A wedding with all 4 seasons in one day.

On Saturday I headed to Auckland to photograph Robynne and Greg’s wedding. Since June last year, I have completed 44 weddings and not one has been wet, not one, but I thought my luck was running out. We saw every weather condition going and lady luck played her part for Robynne and Greg, the sun came out just at the right time for their ceremony at Gracehill Winery, Auckland.

The day began in central Auckland and due to a tremendous downpour we decided to do a few photos in Auckland and engineer the moment when they would see each other for the first time. Greg’s Best Man was his son Jonathan, what a wonderful privilege for any son.

I had a great day guys, thanks so much for dinner your images have been posted.

A small issue of teaching a son how to tie a tie

Kath did a great job getting Robynne ready

This was the moment the sun came out, hallelujah

What a wonderful stairwell

And what a dance these tow put on, I did not know they could both dance – eek!

Maree & Pete’s wedding at Ascension Vineyard Auckland

Wednesday, March 17th, 2010

On Sunday I headed North to Auckland to photograph Maree and Pete’s wedding at Ascension Vineyard near Matakana.

I first met Maree and Pete at the Auckland wedding expo last year and we all hit it off straightaway on the show stand.  When I caught up with them a few weeks ago to go through their final wedding plans we had dinner and I felt we were all like friends.  Maree and Pete are two of life’s great people that surrounded themselves at their wedding by the people they love also.

Thanks for being you two, have a great honeymoon in Thailand.

Steve

Maree’s hairstylist José flew all the way from Sydney (via Spain) to do her hair.

Pete with one of his brothers Dave. His other brother Steve plays for the NZ Black Sticks and managed to get on a standby flight the morning of Pete’s wedding.

Maree’s niece Amy, captured during the final stages of Maree’s preparations.

Maree did all the make-up and I love this shot of Maree doing her Mum’s make-up.

Pete could not resist kissing his Bride the moment he was able to hold Maree’s hand – just wonderful.

Amy with her Auntie and Uncle, I love this look back, so natural.

One of the easiest couples I have had to photograph, they are so in love and very little direction was needed.

“he loves her”, you can tell from his eyes!

This made our photo of the week on our front page, love it!

And why not, let the father of the Bride have the first dance. Pete is stood to the side waiting to take his Bride.

I also just had to Blog this from Maree’s Mum Margot, received 2 days after their wedding.

Hi Steve, I have just dropped Mr and Mrs Edwards at the airport bound for Thailand. Thank you so much for being their photographer, I had many of the guests remark on how you let them take photos as some photographers take over the wedding and are quite snappy about guests taking photographs.  On the other hand I can see how it must make your job harder but the guests appreciated being able to take photos as well.  I feel you have gone over and above your job as their photographer.  I believe my sister and her hubby asked for photos as well, my elderly Mum will so love them, thank you.

They were chuffed when searching your site on Monday they found the photo booth pictures.  They even came in this morning to see if their photos were up but I see you have heaps to load yet although this arvo their names now appears, you must be so busy. Here is one of my pics for you at the airport.

Warm regards

Margot Horton

one2one Blog Update

Monday, March 15th, 2010

Well… there it was, 9 weddings in 9 days, we will do our best to Blog the weddings in the next week or two. Thank you to Frank for coming over from Melbourne and helping us out, your professionalism is legendary.

Yesterday I hit a milestone in my wedding career with Maree and Pete’s wedding in Auckland, it was my 600th wedding, and what a lovely couple to celebrate that achievement with. Maree forced me into the Photobooth (not that I needed any persuasion) to grab a few random snaps with her and Pete, what an awesome idea to have at a wedding!

Thanks also for all the positive comments about our new website too, we should have done it months ago – the phone and emails have gone crazy!
