Tauranga Wedding Photos – Susan & James
Tuesday, April 12th, 2011On Saturday I headed over to Tauranga to photograph Susan & James’ wedding at a beautiful Private Residence right on Papamoa Beach. It was a great union of people from all over the World. I was told that nearly 30 people traveled from overseas, the vast majority from Susan’s home Country, Scotland. Their wedding celebrant flew in from Scotland especially to wed them, having married Susan’s sister’s (her bridesmaids) in Scotland.
Many of my couples are now choosing to have some time to themselves and enjoy their own moments.
I love these images, Steve.
As a father of 3 boys I will never have this privilege as Ian did with his ‘first look’ with his daughter.
And the boys just before they headed downstairs to the ceremony.
Love how I caught this moment as James looks at his father greeting Susan’s mother
Simply beautiful
And there we are James, your beautiful bride. How James kept it together I will never know.
Susan’s ring would just not go all the way, funny moment
Susan and her sisters, Christine and Mahiri (hope I spelt that correctly)
I don’t often post images of both set’s of parents but this is quite a significant shot.
Everyone in a Kilt, to the beach please.
In memory of James’ best friend who died sadly. I guess he had a great sense of humour.
Yeap, that little dot is the cork

Tuesday, September 28th, 2010Cassie & Quentin’s wedding at Fountain Gardens in Tauranga was just spectacular. The weather was wet but that gave me some great opportunities for late winter light. The day was full of laughter, a few emotional moments when Cassie’s Dad saw her for the first time, thank you to all.
Here are a few of my favs. Steve
Mills Reef Winery Tauranga Wedding – Rachel & Gary
Tuesday, April 13th, 2010Last Thursday I headed to Tauranga to photograph Rachel and Gary’s wedding at Mills Reef Winery. I was originally going to Fiji to photograph their wedding but due to many of their friends and family being unable to get to Fiji, Tauranga was then selected as their wedding destination.
Rachel and Gary have a great sense of humor and so did their bridal party. They chose to have their bridal party images before their ceremony and we created the moment when they first saw each other by using a corner of a building, it was a great idea.
Enjoy your honeymoon in Fiji, see you when you get back.
P.S. still not sure what was going on in your last image!

Gary’s and his Dad, who also tied his tie
Paul, Gary and Luke
I love this shot, Rachel waiting on her own for her final stages of her hair
Kirsty and Bronwyn, what a great job they did of tying the dress
What a great moment the first time they saw each other
Elite Limo’s in Tauranga, fantastic cars and service
Rachel is a school primary teacher so how random to find a bunch school kids from Otumoeta Primary School at Sulphur Point
This was the first time Rachel’s Mum and Dad saw her when she arrived at Mills Reef Winery and she stepped out of the Limo. Her Mum was beside herself, awww.

Their first dance
And…I just popped down to the Cellar to say bye to Rachel and Gary and my photo-journalistic skills just kicked in, sorry hehe,
